Published on 21 November 2025. Update 0.5 made the enemies genuinely dangerous, added the first electrical puzzle built for squad coordination, and put voice chat under the player’s control instead of leaving it always on.
Added
- Electric Switch puzzle — toggle switches to guide twin mechanical dials into a sweet spot. Each switch moves one or both dials, so it runs on callouts and timing, and the switch effects vary by seed.
- Voice chat controls — a toggle in settings and the quick menu, plus a voice activity indicator showing who is speaking. Off by default unless enabled.
- User Widget Guide — explains controls, objectives, pinging, and puzzle basics the first time you load a map, stays until dismissed, and can be re-opened from the pause menu.
- Progression backend — levelling, XP tracking, and rewards went live behind the scenes, with the UI and unlock surfacing still to come.
Changed
- Functional attacks. Enemies strike valid targets in range, which is what makes stealth and positioning matter.
- Improved behaviour logic — Hunt, Chase, and Search transitions are smarter and more reactive, so chases depend less on luck.
- Attack animations and blend spaces smoothed out, making enemy intent easier to read.
- Polished materials and props across key rooms, with lighting passes adding deeper shadows and clearer interactables.
- Cleaner ambient sound transitions between default, proximity, and chase states, plus a richer menu sound system.
- World generator optimisation for faster room validation, and networking changes that reduced client desync.
Fixed
- Resolved movement desync issues across clients.
- Fixed lighting flicker in select dark rooms.
- Improved AI pathfinding and room-transition stability.
- Fixed a rare crash when joining a lobby mid-load.
