📝 Major Update 0.5 – Combat-Ready AI, New Puzzle, Voice Chat & More

Smarter enemies, a brand-new electric puzzle, onboarding improvements, and voice chat upgrades headline Update 0.5—setting up a massive December follow-up.

Summary: Sharper AI, new electric puzzle, visual upgrades, improved onboarding, environment overhaul incoming, and major December systems update. This is a large monthly patch with even bigger updates on the way.

🧠 Enemy AI — Now Fully Dangerous

Change Detail Why it matters
Functional attacks Enemies instantly strike valid targets in range. Encounters feel lethal—stealth and positioning count.
Improved behavior logic Hunt → Chase → Search transitions are smarter and more reactive. Chases are cinematic, intense, and less RNG-driven.
Animation & blend fixes Attack animations and blend spaces are smoothed out. Helps players read enemy intent while increasing immersion.

⚡ New Puzzle — Electric Switch Challenge

Toggle switches to guide twin mechanical dials into a “sweet spot.” Every switch influences one or both dials, turning math, timing, and communication into high-stakes coordination.

  • Mechanic: Switches alter dial values independently or together; align both to win.
  • Teamplay: Built for callouts—players track values and timing together.
  • Tension: Enemies and hazards can interrupt progress, forcing resets.
  • Replayability: Switch effects vary by seed for procedural difficulty.

🎙️ Voice Chat Improvements

  • Toggleable voice chat via settings or the quick menu.
  • Voice activity indicator shows who’s speaking in real time.
  • Privacy & UX focus keeps voice chat off by default unless enabled.

🎨 Visual & Environmental Upgrades

  • Polished materials and props across key rooms and corridors.
  • Lighting passes add deeper shadows, cooler tones, and clearer interactables.
  • Subtle post-processing tweaks and new decor improve room-to-room variety.

📘 Better Player Onboarding

A new User Widget Guide explains controls, objectives, pinging, and puzzle basics the first time you load a map. It stays put until dismissed and can be re-opened from the pause menu.

Backend systems for leveling, XP tracking, and rewards are live. UI and unlock surfacing land next update.
